    Try bleeding the pump, large screw on the front just crack it open till water comes out you have air in the boiler

    You probably have or had a room thermostat in the hall, that is why no TRV, if you want one you will have to replace the complete valve

    yes but remember you will have to leave the ch on the prgrammer set to constantly on and let the hive take over

    Well as you have found out, the EP range were sold as a wiring centre and programmer built in to one, if you want to replace with a modern unit tou will have to create a new wiring centre to accomodate the connections you wont be able to do it otherwise

    as @Madrab correctly says , you have a balancing issue, forget all the crap about changing boiler paramaters, water is like everything, it is lazy and will always travel the easiest path, so will happily circulate around the nearest small radiator than take the harder path to a large radiator...

    I think your blending valve is the problem, some do have filter screens, dont know that make but wouldnt do any harm to check, just close the blue handled valve and open a hot tap till the water stops and remove it and chech it to see

    I know its not what you want to hear, but it is Salus, bin it and buy something decent, they are possibly the worst controls you could buy, they are absolutely dire
