Best way to heat house and supply showers

I currently have an older house with a large new extension. In the old part I have two power showers, 15 rads (with Honeywell evohome valves) these are fed from two large cold water tanks and a hot water tank. In the new part I have a separate hot water tank supplying a power shower, and kitchen...

    chasing PIR for cables

Ok so I can either run them straight down the front of the celotex (chase it out a bit) and plaster over or run them down the edge of the stud (being careful not to nick them with plasterboard screws when I fix).

    chasing PIR for cables

Hi, I've done a Search and although lots of people have this issue there doesn't seem to be an answer anywhere. I have 95mm studs with 90mm pir insulation so pretty much flush. How do I run my cables? Options I see are: 1/chase the pir out? (centre or on edge of stud?) 2/run externally on...

    Mdpe to copper tee

yes it would but that would mean three adapters, the tee itself then 2x reducers. I was hoping to do it in one but I’m guessing it’s not the case now. I probably just use a 20-15mm reducer then a n equal 15mm tee. Hopefully make it fit as limited space under the floor.

    Mdpe to copper tee

Anyone ever seen a mdpe (20mm) to 15mm copper tee? I can’t seem to find one and space tight for reducer/pipe/tee. Any other suggestions?

    Making a warm roof thinner

Quick update for anyone considering doing this. All seemed to work out ok. couple of pics below showing makeup and last one with half the fascia done. Cant see a downside as yet although may be a problem if you're up against height restrictions as the 'eves' are now 200mm higher that they should be.

    Cold vs warm roof

Warm roof will cost more so probably that. Also insulation 120mm not a lot should really be at least 150mm.
