    Timber Cladding

Oh ok I get you, I guess it wouldn’t be 44mm though as that would assume no overlap with feather edge boards. Probably more like 30-35mm depending on size of overlap but still heafty battens.

    Timber Cladding

Why did you overlap your battens if laying horizontally? You would only need one course if vertical battens?

    Timber Cladding

Ive noted the installation states min 30mm cavity anyone had problems using 25mm batten? I’m have problems sourcing 38mm plus it’s a lot more expensive. Not sure whether 5mm will make a huge difference?

    Insulation around skirting

Yep might work, so stop the plasterboard say 10mm under the skirting and then use 140mm of 12.5mm celotex in place of plasterboard to floor. (Assuming 150mm skirting).

    Insulation around skirting

Yep thought of that but 6x4m by 2.3m high is a big cost.

    Insulation around skirting

I’m building a garden room and have got my levels a bit off. The wall is two courses brickwork (around 140mm) then wall plate stud etc I’m planning 100mm insulation and 18mm flooring on top of the concrete base as a floating floor. this leaves me 10-20mm short of the timber wall plate. Hence...

    Do I need these?

Yep but I’m assuming that refers to loose sheets not T&G which will in effect when glued forms a large sheet. Hence only requiring fixing at the edges.

Does all roofing need a gutter?

I guess You don’t NEED gutters anywhere, just be prepared that when it rains it will just pour of the roof! as water hits dirty window cills and splashes back it will Make your windows dirty, also hitting the ground will cause splashing again paintwork etc.

    Making a warm roof thinner

I could extend the front rafters and leave exposed and clad between to add support to the roof but might look odd. Roof makeup will be 18mm osb/back/100mm pir/11mm osb/Edpm so pretty solid flying 300mm should be ok.

    Making a warm roof thinner

Yes but only flying it 100mm at the sides and back and maybe 300 at the front.
