Vaillant EcoTec Plus 428 constant cycling

Is the motorised valve opening correctly?

    Heating intermittent

That should be the first thing to look at imo, especially given it’s been a week.

Vaillant EcoTec Plus 428 constant cycling

Did you adjust any radiator valves? X400 is a cleaner, did you add any x100? Are all flow and return valves, including any magnetic filter ones fully open?

Hot water working but no heating (No fault detected)

No problem whatsoever. Don't know, maybe they should have gone to Specsavers? :ROFLMAO:

Yep, that'll do it because it's a previous Vaillant control

No reason for it to behave how it has then. I’ve not really encountered this before. I did have it once where I decommissioned an ebus thermostat, wouldn’t go above 50 and carried out a factory reset which got it working. Your new pcb should have sorted that though.

Yep, or change float valve for another ball type?

Flush siphon unit / filling valve too big for existing cistern?

You may have to get a smaller syphon then. Is the fill valve height adjustable? Maybe increase the height slightly?

Hot water working but no heating (No fault detected)

Hello David, and welcome to the forum. This would have been better in the plumbing section, but let’s not split hairs. Yes it’s been missed, you have a flow and return valve, and the return is closed. Open it and you should get your heating back on, attached a photo for clarity

Plastic pipe advice 10mm or 15mm

If it currently runs ok on 10mm then probably stay the same. However, with plastic the internal pipe size bore is reduced when using the insert, so probably about 7mm or 8mm.

Not that I’m aware of. Which terminals was it wired to? 24v?

What Waste Do I Need For 2 Appliances - Also Leaking Plastic Joints

I think you'll be surprised that it does. I have fitted many push fit (41mm) and solvent weld (43mm) into several 1.5" traps. I can't see anywhere on that drawing about 38.1mm

    If they're bi-directional it won't matter.

Could be a fault with the diverter valve. Can't see it being a D code setting as the PCB was changed. Does the temperature shut off at 50?
