Ideal Response 120 - Hard to work on.

Right guys now i really do need your help!!!!!! Went back round to that job and pulled out the DHW sensor. Checked the resistance of it and it was 10 K Ohm when cold. I did a buzz test across the DHW overheat stat and it was fine. The heat was working fine last night and as i said the hot...

Ideal Response 120 - Hard to work on.

Just realised i have been talking a little nonsense. It should be the DHW sensor that i focus on and not the Overheat Stat i.e. The sensor isnt working so it goes straight up to max heat and the overheat stat shuts down the burner??? Are the DHW sensor and CH sensor on these...

Ideal Response 120 - Hard to work on.

Is there any chance that the fan/ burner unit wouldnt be seated properly and the products of combustion are getting into the sealed chamber and causing the overheat stat to operate?? Clutching at straws!!! I know tehre is a similar issue to this on Baxi Barcelonas. At the risk of getting...

Releasing excess system pressure through the PRV

The only reason i ask is that the last job i was at i released some pressure through the PRV and then it just kept running. I opened it up full and closed it again. Must have flushed any crap out of it. Im a bit wary of them to be honest. It doesnt mention in the mnauals anything about...

Releasing excess system pressure through the PRV

Alright guys, If a customer has overfilled their system and you need to drop it back down to 1 bar is it bad practice to do this using the PRV. I was checking through a manual of a Chaff et Maury and this is how it tells you to drain down the boiler. However from chatting to other people...

Hi again, Go make a cup of tea. The saga continues. Got my mate round and he sized the pipe and we found that the pipe size was more than adequate. So i scratched my head and decided that i must still have crap at the gas valve. So i screwed the bugger off and hey presto loads more...

Gloworm Compact with Low Burner Pressure

Agile, I already had the gas valve off and removed about 4 Kgs of Copper sulphide from it!!! This didnt improve the situtation at all. I will just give her the AR notice and get her to sign it saying that no appliances sgould be used until the pressure issue is sorted. Grill

Gloworm Compact with Low Burner Pressure

Okay i see what you are saying. I wasnt going to down this route as the only issue flagged so far with the low pressure is that the water wont heat as quickly. I will show her your response, minus the tight b&*ch bit and take it from there. I obviously cant sign off on the landlords...
