    Plumbing plan for renovation

Best steer well clear of this forum then. It's full of plumbers.

    New Atag boiler

Seems a coincidence so soon after Ariston Group took them over. It wouldn't surprise me if Intergas and Viessmann went the same way.

    Replacing a Vaillant boiler

Finding enthusiasm for any new boiler is as difficult as finding any for mainstream politicians.

New boiler compatible with pumped shower?

Most 'plumbed' showers sold today are compatible with combis. Indeed a mains pressure shower is one of the boiler's main benefits. The issue of HW starvation can be overcome by using a good quality thermostatic shower valve, such as an Aqualisa, Mira, Grohe or the like. When another outlet is...

    Combi Boiler question

Unfortunately your two questions don't make enough sense to be able to answer. Builders aren't competent to install or maintain boilers. You need a heating engineer.

Central Heating / Water not switching off

The only way you can trace the fault accurately is with electricity testing equipment. If working 24/7 you will have live at the orange wire of the offending zone valve with all other controls off but power on from fused spur. If all other controls are dead leading to it, you have a fault on the...

New boiler compatible with pumped shower?

They're not designed for mains pressure. Ask them how you operate it without electricity. Ones I've installed have water outlet controlled by a powered solenoid type valve.

    plumbing dilemmas...a request for advice.

The softener, properly installed, will have a by-pass. Simply fill CH with hard then switch back to soft water. Manufacturers of boilers these days void warranty for soft water. Then again they void it for hard water, certain chemicals, debris, wrong gas, wrong electricity, wrong RF controls...

Supply and fit price for gas fire and surround?

Dear English Meister, have gone over my work and found correct spelling after all. Better correct my other one Longw*nks (damn did it again). English lessons, sort your eyesight first. Too many long **nks no doubt.

Supply and fit price for gas fire and surround?

Big shot Longw*nks has spotted a type error (oh dear, did it again). Still not like googling a word then trying to cobble an incoherent sentence around it in a poor attempt to appear intelligent. English lesson my a***.

Supply and fit price for gas fire and surround?

Hardly valid as an English lesson is it? Coming as it does from the confines of your position where you can freely google the meaning of any words in advance.

Supply and fit price for gas fire and surround?

But you are singling me out aren't you. When you dismiss anyone as an idiot the operative word is 'dismiss'. That you continue proves otherwise. Your attempt to flatter yourself and seem intelligent is backfiring on you as what you write is utter nonsense to anyone who reads it. You can't...

    Honeywell DT90E Digital Room Thermostat

I've had ticking noises from 2 of the same, but just noise, no on-off. In the end I swapped for equivalent Drayton.

    Water connection upgraded

Your combi boiler would usually require a 15mm supply because of limitations of it's hot water production (about 15l/m for the 837). Unless you had major cold draw off required before the combi eg external water features, sprinklers etc. that should be all you need. Even storage combi's such as...

    Water connection upgraded

You would generally convert to 22mm after the 25mm pipe. However upgrading your supply is never a bad thing and means you have spare capacity should you ever re plumb the property, eg for a mains cylinder. 15mm is OK for your combi.

You're no more a customer than the people that knock my door to scrounge scrap metal.

Supply and fit price for gas fire and surround?

Hostile to constructive criticism! You only came here to establish if you were being ripped off by your moonlighting mate who you're having round to illegally fit a bodged gas fire on the side for cash.

Supply and fit price for gas fire and surround?

Before disappearing up your own a*** on your self proclaimed intellectual high altar. Ask yourself how you've reached assumptions on someone you can't even prove exists let alone confirm how they operate. Or indeed that they trade at all. As for my cerebral deficiencies. You singling me out...

Supply and fit price for gas fire and surround?

Don't think you've grasped it yet so I'll explain again OP. I can't lose any customers as there aren't any here for me to lose, least of all you. It's a forum, not a trading point for me or others. Within its rules I can write what I want.
