    Question about varnish

I have recently painted my kitchen wall and base units with Ronseal Paint & Grain in Limed Oak. Although not essential, I decided to protect them with a coat of varnish. I used the varnish recommended on the Paint & Grain tin. When I opened the tin of varnish & stirred it, at the bottom of...

    STRANGE SHOWER PROBLEM

Have this Mira shower, the type that takes water from hot and cold supply. When the radiators are on and I go to have a shower, the pressure of the water is poor and often comes through cold or just lukewarm. If I turn the shower off and then straight back on again it often solves the problem...

    Patio Doors

Hello again. I have had no luck whatsoever in getting someone to come and inspect my patio doors and double glazing in general. No other local company wants to 'get involved' in case theres any comeback to them(if you see what I mean) My only option now is to get a building surveyor...

    carpet washers

Hello :) I have a bissell carpet washer (not the pro wash one) and it is absolutely brilliant. It was about £160, if I remember right but well worth it. Don't be persuaded to buy a cheaper one as they have less suction so leave the carpet wetter and some do not have the rotating brushes that...

    Patio Doors

I get what you are saying but really wouldn't know how to find someone else who has had work done by this company. Its a local company and they have just moved premises so I don't think their showroom is up and running just yet - well, it doesn't look like it from driving past recently. Any...

    Patio Doors

Thanks for your messages in reply to the pics. I do still believe that they have been put in the wrong way round but the company insist it is right the way they have done it. Looks like the only option open to me is to get a surveyor to do a report but would imagine that would be costly. Will...

    Patio Doors

not sure if this is going to work but I will try anyway. If the picture comes through, you will see the picture is taken from the inside of my house and slides on the inside from left to right. The gap between the runner and the window frame is where the rain water accumulates.

    Patio Doors

Hello there. Maybe someone could help with a query with my upvc patio doors. It opens from left to right and the door slides on the inside of the static side. When it rains I get water collecting in a gulley on the inside - there is a space about two inches wide where this water collects. I...
