    Dufus trod on circular saw

Sounds like the perfect time to upgrade to a Makita track saw, more accurate, clean perfect straight cut and a lot safer to use. I've got one and its changed my life.

British ceramic tiles (BCT) extremely poor quality tiles

As a professional I will never use these tiles again, anyone reading this DO NOT USE THESE TILES ON FLOORS they are too soft, they will crack along the seams of any tile backer board no matter how solid or double taped they are. BCT will blame the fitter and take no responsibility. Chipped...

    Sharpening multi tool blades

I'm sick of buying new blades every few months, I notice there is an American product called sharp hog or sharp pog which is a series of grinder disks with spacers mounted in a cordless drill. I cant find it on ebay but I think I'm going to try a dremel disk and see how I get on, surely I can...

    Circular saw safety

I'm using my brand new Makita track saw on dry 18mm plywood to cut a loft hatch and the blade is burning the wood, should I be on full speed? I'm not pushing it too fast I don't think.

    *******s have nicked my tools

There are scum on the streets early hours looking for opportunities who mostly wouldn't dare come into your home (I know some would yes). I had my garage done and its a horrible feeling but remember they are the loosers with no job and a crippling drug addiction.

    *******s have nicked my tools

I can't believe people are still keeping tools in there vans. I go to great lengths every night to remove all my hand and powertools and keep them inside the house, not in garage. Vans are just cheap flimsy sheet metal that can be ripped open if need be. Do not leave tools in your van over night!

    Circular saw safety

Yes you can cut to within 18mm of a skirting board which is handy but you wouldn't have the rail involved surely. I'll stick with my Bosch 10.8 circular for that, its a dream to plunge. I got the rail saw for kitchen projects as I'm sick of dodgy cuts on worktops, it did a fantastic job of a...

    Circular saw safety

What got me looking for kickbacks on you tube was my new Makita track saw kicked back on me on a test plunge cut and it could have been really nasty, the only thing that saved me was the spring mechanism flipping back over the blade. I had the saw off the rail and was doing a freehand plunge...
