well after soldering all the new pipe work and getting it all done i put the water back on and yes you guessed it .... leaks :-(((( i was not amused so after looking at other options i took it all off and used compression parts. one of the other valves started leaking so i replaced that as well...

Hi dan ! the small water tank wont seem to empty :-( is there any valve i can check or anything i can do ? will it only empty when the system is all live ?. any help would be great ! cheers dan

I will call one soon as i do want the boiler serviced. but i just dont have it in me to give up lol. and if it gets to the point where i have tried everything i will take the plunge and call a plumber. it might be one of you lot ;-)

thanks dan ! just to let you know i have opened the rads and 4 of them let a fair bit of air out. just going to change the pump and then have a go at firing it up ........ fingers crossed !

do you mean the larger tank ? if so it does empty. but i didnt look at the small one. if it does not is that a sure sign its blocked ?. where and what do the filters look like and where would they be ? thanks again lee

thanks for the heads up tony !! when i took the old one off i did clean and file down all to give the pump a good seal on the rubber washers. and i did have try them when they were off and they seemed to open and close ok. but i will double check when i take it back off. thank you tony. its good...
