If you remove the plug- look down the hole and operate the pop up waste, you should see a small bar moving up and down. This bar pushes on the adjustable bolt as described above. Steve

Most likely that there is not enough space for expansion. The hotter the water gets = the more it expands. Check the prv is not discharging outside when the boiler stat is set to 70 Steve
