    if its the fitting i am thinking of, the back collapses to form 3 or 4 strips to provide a kinda sandwich of the plasterboard. prob easiest to drill the end and push it into the wall. if its just to refit the cistern higher would this not cover the holes? couldn't they be left in and new...

    without hearing it would only be a guess.. does the boiler have a permanent live and is the pump wired to the boiler? could be overheating if not, which would explain the wiring fault and the ticking noise.

    would be surprised if it is the pcb, have you checked all controls are calling for heat? (room stat etc). if so what lights (if any) are illuminated on the front of the boiler wen just the heating is on?

    it will prob just be the diverter valve not springing back, allowing the heating to come on in preheat. really common and i've seen it happen even with clean systems, to check you can remove the actuator and pull the shaft towards you. if you have a repair contract get um called, they will prob...

    What have they tried to resolve the lockout issue? I'd just pester them until they got it right, ya never know if they replace enough parts they might get lucky

    The 2 main things that I've had with these are the venturi's and the small pcb which slots on to the main pcb, who do you have boiler cover with?

    Sounds like you need to re-seal the plate heat exchanger, it's not a bad job tbh and all you need is a seal kit

    Lf is prob the most common fault I get on these but the op is saying he is gettin le, which is norm the pcb in my experience

    Has he charged you anything as of yet? Le norm means pcb fault, but I'd check the jumpers are fitted in the correct position and not just copied from the old pcb
