i personally always recommend them on this boiler as magnetite is a real problem for the flow switches :?

no wot happens is magnetite gets attracted to the magnet in the flow switch causing it to fail but it can quite easily get circulated around by the pump causing intermittent faults :D

i think they are pants :? but only thing could be causing premature failure is power spikes or such as like try fitting a filter to power supply to boiler :D

Tony is right if resistor goes in Lead it would be a permanent failure and it sounds like the air to gas ratio mixture is out of calobration which means putting in a new gas valve as you cannot adjust them :? also check that the burner is seated properly as i asssume you fitted anew one and...

Exactly namsag thats my point most of the boilers im going out to fix free of charge are 7 or 8 years old in upboards with no ventilation :? and yes Gas4you in my experience gas valves havent caused too many problems on the Suprima :roll:

Intellistat is a pain in the arse especially when you are trying to test the system as for some reason it can take upto 5 mins to tell the boiler to come on :)

Definately sounds more like combustion door seals have burnt out to me :D
