Yes your boiler is a powermax 150 if it is an HE model! and is very differant to the 155x which these guys are saying about the safety issues! I would however recommend getting an expert in as said before A01 means its locking out due to ignition failure which means it could be electrodes or...

Its normal on these boilers for the pressure to rise 1 to 1.5 bar so it sounds like its doing what it should ! when you fill system you should only fill it to 1bar 1.5 bar max!!! :wink:

Agreed ! servicing boilers saves lives that is a fact! if your willing to come on here and encourage people not to have there boilers serviced then you should be very careful little man :x

The Modulation solenoid goes to the main pcb but GV1 and GV2 goto ignition pcb as you obviously dont have these on a permanent pilot model :wink:

What a load of crap if you find problems with an installation surely its your duty to inform customer of these problems and to cover yourself you have to put it in writing! If anything were to happen and he hadnt done this then trust me Heateam would be giving him his P45 :?

Not always knocks it out just sometimes(oh the top solenoid on the gas valve that is) and should be checked to make sure it doesnt knacker your new one you will be paying £90 approx for! as its a costly mistake to make and takes 2 mins to check with a multimeter! :wink:

sounds like you have air in the boiler ! have a look through the older posts there was one about this a few days ago ! :wink: Oh yes if its a whistling or screeching noise then it will be the diverter valve causing this !

The ignition pcb (the one at the back) creats the spark it is more than likely this is faulty if you arent getting a spark :? Agile - it always knocks the ignition pcb out trust me i have found out the hard way several times this is why they turned the solenoid around on a later revision! I...

Sounds like Diverter valve is sticking ! Call Baxi out as you have a 5 year warranty with that boiler! :D

Yes sounds like an ignition lockout ! which would probably be down to the ignition pcb ! BUT before thats changed get them to check the top solenoid on the gas valve as if this has been damaged by water dripping from the auto air vent which happens quite a bit! then it will need to be replaced...

There were Issues with the fans on these when they first came out a few years back! and it took D&D a while to figure out what it was and eventually was traced to a Diode or capacitor not being man enough on the fan! but that has been rectified for some time now :D

No it means you dont have power coming from your controls to tell boiler to come on so i would look more towards diverter valve or programmer! Definately not Pump :?

If theres demand from the controller and the central heating demand light isnt coming on then it can only be the pcb :? I take it you have the selector turned to heating and hot water? also try turning the hot water temperature knob right off so the preheat is disabled ! Just an off...

you need to check there is a demand from your external controls then ie room stat or programmer! check you have 240v on the switch live coming back to the boiler? you could always link this out to test if it is an external fault ! hope thsi helps ! :)

Cant be that Powell as its not a ch sensor its a pump sensor so he wouldnt have hot water if that was faulty! Does the Central heating demand light come on when you put heating on ? looks like a radiator symbol nest to hot water tap symbol???? :?
