difficult to make out. but it looks like the sealed system pressure is on 0. turn the black knob in the picture on until the gauge reads 1.5 bar.

sorry no you cant. & i'm afraid its going to need more than just flushing through with water. an acidic solution such as 'scalebreaker fx' should be used (pumped through would be better). also the whole system should be flushed, treated & inhibitor added. + fitting a 'magnaclean'...

its been a while but from what i remember..... b/stat set to max - roughly 82c store set to 70c (not 100% sure) with the differential set to 4c ('internal rotary wheel'). http://europe.hbc.honeywell.com/downloads/EN2R9005.PDF

it depends which model. but you can try turning the top part clockwise all the way with your right hand & holding in position. turn the ring below anti clockwise then pull the valve head up. difficult to explain but easy to do, once you know.

the thermostatic valves have stuck in the off position as they have been turned off all summer. see faq #1. leave all trvs fully on during summer to prevent this.

on the info you've provided it looks good.

possibly trv fitted backwards.

as long as clearances, fluing position etc are ok it shouldn't be a problem. the pump can go anywhere as long as its piped correctly.
