System heating up most but not all radiators

Ah ok I thought you meant you can take a portion of the bleed valve out. I did realise that you can release some water to remove it and will give it a go

System heating up most but not all radiators

Just wanted to say thank you as Ive managed to sort out the problematic radiators (well most of them) turning the ones that were working forced the hot water and air into the none working ones. Once bled they heated up nicely. Although the radiator which wouldn't bleed is still being a rascal...

    Ei3000mrf vs Ei168RC - whats the difference?

Hi Guys, Probably a silly question but I cant see an obvious answer - whats the difference between these 2 units please? Im just wanting to interlink 3 smoke alarms and a heat alarm so as I understand it I can use the Ei3000mrf module but what does the base unit offer that this doesnt? Thanks!

System heating up most but not all radiators

Ok cool thanks I will have a look as I just assumed (not being a plumber) and looking at the bleed valves they are one unit so you have to take out the whole thing but if you're saying some arent then I'll give it a go (Ive got some spare so I can have a look at them as an example). And yes its...

System heating up most but not all radiators

The system was never tested as we bought the house and then started renovating it, adding some new radiators and replacing the old. I was going to drain the system so I can take out the possibly sludgey air bleed valve and give it a good clean. Just been given another tip (simular to what you...

System heating up most but not all radiators

Opened the air bleed valve a little bit to see whats cooking and it hissed a bit so you're possibly right she's blocked up. Will investigate that once Ive drained the system. The radiators which aren't heating up I pressed down the trv pin and it popped back up so that seems ok. Any thoughts...

System heating up most but not all radiators

System heating up most but not all radiators

Ok cool and the otherside should that be fully open (obviously not fully closed) or half way?

System heating up most but not all radiators

Sorry should have said its a combi system so sealed and pressurised from the boiler. All of the radiators which are playing up have trv's. So I should be able to take the head off the trv and the pin in the middle of it should go up and down (guessing I cant damage it by pressing it down and it...

System heating up most but not all radiators

Hi guys Having a problem with a few radiators where they aren't warming up yet I can bleed them and water comes out 2 of the 3. Interestingly enough previously the one which isnt bleeding did bleed previously. The system hasn't been on for a while so I can't see what could the the problem...

Amended approved planning - yes Ive been a little bit naughty

Not quite the same building over your boundary compared to building well within your boundary just slightly longer than you planned for. But still...

Amended approved planning - yes Ive been a little bit naughty

This may be true (although most people say 1.4m isnt significant) and yes we should have put it in the original plans but didnt really visualise what the original plans would have looked like so obviously didnt and as you said you havent seen the site dont know the setup so you're making an...

Amended approved planning - yes Ive been a little bit naughty

Interestingly enough I had a call with the local planning department - general help kind of person. They were really good and very knowledgeable - more so than the senior person who gave us the warning and spoke to me about what I needed to do. What I find frustrating is we're not trying to...

Amended approved planning - yes Ive been a little bit naughty

So yeah the actual distance is 1.4 meters (from what the planning authority said). The reason our plans have been approved and then unapproved is because there are conditions on the approval (the frosted glass in the bathroom which we have done) if the actual structure deviates from the...

Amended approved planning - yes Ive been a little bit naughty

Hi guys n girls We had our planning application approved and a conditional part of the approval was to have frosted glass on the first floor east elevation - only 1 window this side and its in a bathroom so we would be silly OR VERY PROUD OF OURSELVES not to frost it over. Anyway... Fast...

    50mm pipe into 110mm drainage

Hi - yeah the main stack is in the middle of the house of all places. We have extended this to the back\outside of the house and then runs across as in my "naff" picture so it will sit tight to the boundary (under what will be a patio) with the necessary inspection chambers. I\we didnt want to...

    50mm pipe into 110mm drainage

Sorry I should have said - as the 50mm pipe comes down the wall (unless I put an elbow in) it will be straight on top of what ever is coming up from the ground to meet it. I thought bosses come into the side of the 110mm pipe so it would need an elbow to come into it - is that correct? Ive...

    50mm pipe into 110mm drainage

Hi guys Just looking at the best way to plumb my 50mm shower waste pipe which runs throufh the wall to outside and down. It will then connect to the main 110mm waste - would you run it into a gully? Or one of those 50mm black bungs into a 110mm elbow or have I missed the obvious? Thanks!!
