2 Extractor fans one ducting - is this ok?

Problem is we would be controlling the extractors from the light switch so you would have complications. Plus as its the en-suite next to our bedroom and the bathroom we wouldnt want it turning on (even if it is quiet) if someone uses the bathroom so separate systems works better for us.

2 Extractor fans one ducting - is this ok?

Hi guys, Looking to install 2 extractor fans within my bathroom and en-suite. Would it be ok to run both through the same ducting? They are the Xpelair C4TSR's so they have the built in back draft shutters. I was thinking if I give them about a 2m-3m run before joining at the main outlet from...

    Confused about sizes

Well this is it if you look at the stop cock from the blue pipe coming in to the house going out is 15mm. Although strangely enough the boiler has 22mm coming out of it for the house (and no Im not getting confused with the gas pipe ). But I do get it now conventionally bath pipes are 3/4" but...

    Confused about sizes

Hi guys, So.... Ive fitted my 22mm pipe and am looking to connect it to a new tap (great eh?!)... Not being a plumber I did my research and found that 22mm to the bath makes sense given the speed it will feed the bath and fill it up quicker - Im cooking on gas! So why do all the taps seem to be...

    LED Driver in niche (bathroom)

Appreciate this isnt the bathroom in detail but as an overview to the whole project (taken from the electrical safety first site) What if I don’t use a registered electrician? If you use an installer who is not a registered competent person, he or she must notify the registered third-party...

    LED Driver in niche (bathroom)

Thanks its part of a big extension so building control will need to sign the whole lot off. Plan is for a qualified electrician to come in and check everything anyway just thought I would ask on here if others have done the same. Cheers

    LED Driver in niche (bathroom)

Hi guys, Just so I can get a good understanding I was wondering if someone could shed some "light" excuse the pun on my little nice project. Misses wants a niche with LED strip lights - niche is a rectangle about 4 2.5 meters long by about 50cm tall. I think Im correct in saying I would need a...

Mira Flight Low Rectangular Shower Tray - any good?

Would you install with the riser kit (or does that just depend on if you need the height?) As we have space under the boards to run the waste. Also any tips for fitting - best base to sit it on as we have 22mm ply currently. Thanks

Mira Flight Low Rectangular Shower Tray - any good?

Hi guys Ive found some slightly older threads about these trays but can anyone enlighten me whether these are any good or suggest something simular please? Looking for a low'ish 40mm or so profile shower tray. Have read the main thing is the fitting/bedding for them as they can crack. Thanks

Running radiator pipes in Celotex - any advice please?

Hi Guys (yes I'll be glad when this project is finished as well :)) I've chased down the wall to feed a radiator from above to below on one side and was thinking about continuing the chase running pipes across the floor (close to the wall) to feed another radiator on the other side of the room...

    Bath recommendations please....

Are there any secrets to tiling the bath in but also making it accessible? You see it tiled (and I think it looks better than these plastic panels) but surely they have some method to get in? Saying that we will have a bit of a small stud wall extended off the old wall as the wall taken away...

    Bath recommendations please....

Its funny you would think a "baths a bath" and I think these days there is faaaaar tooo much choice with everything (which makes it difficult). Thanks for the suggestions though guys I'll have a look :)

    Bath recommendations please....

Hi guys Onto the next task choosing a bath. We're looking to tile it instead of panel (unless anyone can suggest a reason not to) Im guessing any bath allows this? Ideally it will be a double ended around 1700 x 700 but again suggestions from people with experience and have gone through the...

Testing my plumbing - first go with capillary fittings

You're kidding right? The boiler only when working sits just over 1 bar and will build when on (Ive only ever filled a boiler to 1 bar as sufficient)

Testing my plumbing - first go with capillary fittings

Not a bad idea - I can splice the new section and add a couple of lever vales :) I pressurised to .5 bar and no leaks yet so will add another .5 and see what happens! :D

Testing my plumbing - first go with capillary fittings

Hi Thanks for answering and its probably just me over thinking but surely if I just cap off all ends only the flow will get the water from the old system (even though both flow and return will be connected to the old system) as the water circulates how will it get to the return side of the new...
