Check the compressor is running at the rear of the fridge, also there is a small fan motor that draws air across the condensor, check this is also running. You may see a lot of dust and fluff on the condensor, make sure this is all cleaned off as the condenser must be cooled by ambient air, suck...

If this fault is intermittent, I would first suggest a new PCB board. I had this problem and when I changed the board it was OK. :wink: :wink:

Is it a legal requirement that when selling a property you must upgrade a fuse box to a consumer unit with mcb's and earth leakage breaker. :roll:

The machine has got an earth fault. You need someone to identify which part has the fault, its more than likely the motor or a heater :wink:

I Have the same problem, I spoke to the engineer and he said it was OK as the water will fully empty out at the beginning when you next use the machine. I've tried this, if you set the machine off again at the start of the program and open the door you will see the water empty away. :lol...

Insulate the pipe with pipe insulation, this should cure the condensation problem. :lol:

You need to determine what wires go where, was there no wiring diagram with the new switch?............Best get a spark to look at it :lol:

I dont think Sime's have a pilot light, :? it's electronic spark to light the boiler. What make have you got :?: :lol: :lol:

Are you sure there isn't a dog sat on top of your boiler :lol: :lol:

There should be a shut off tap outside your house somewhere, you should see a small grid you can lift up and the tap will be down there. The hole is probably full of soil so you will have to dig the soil out. Once the water is off, you can then repair the tap inside the house. :) :) Hope...

Are you getting water out of the bleed screw, if you are then the system may need balancing

B&Q has a lot to answer for, they probably sold him the consumer unit. Isn't it about time they had somebody on the electrical side who is able to spot the gormless looking bloke buying stuff like this, and is able to say to them.........."excuse me sir do you know what the f*** your doing. :lol:

Are the valves open on the towel radiator, and have you bled all the air out of it. :?:

I've soldered chrome pipe the same as copper and had no problems, lets face it you solder copper wires to chrome. Dont get the chrome too hot it does discolour :lol: :lol:

If there is ice behind the grill then the coil will not be defrosting properly, keep an eye on the temp of the freezer, the coil could still be blocked with ice. Make sure the fan inside is running, if your up to it remove the back panel with the grill on it and you will see the cooling coil...

Is this a Frost free freezer :?: Is the fridge OK :?: When you say the compressor is reluctant to start does it run and then you hear a click noise and the comp stops. If it does this then the compressor is knackered. Is there 2 compressors at the back. Hope I can help, I,m a fridge...
