    Bosch f/freezer continually ices up

Sounds like its not running through it's defrost cycle correctly. You need to see the freezer on a defrost cycle and check that all the heaters are working, also there will de a termination set point where the heaters will turn off, this could be too low. lastly there should be a heater down the...

    Fridge fault finding

Yeah, the small hissing you can hear is the gas going around the system, it should be a liquid sound :( whats happened is the fridge has lost gas so the compressor isn't getting any cooling from the gas so it overheats. the clicking you can hear is the compressor klixon, it's basically a...

    Which American style fridge/freezer

I'm a fridge engineer and I would'nt buy one, they have too many components that are sure to break as soon as your gaurentee runs out. American fridges should stay in America. If you are hell bent on getting one, they are all basically the same inside. You pay your money, you...

    Fridge fault finding

If the compressor is running it sounds like you have a gas problem, meaning the system has lost refrigerant due to a leak. These fridges also have a fan motor to cool the condenser and compressor, check that this motor is running and clear away any dust and crap that may have got sucked...

(UK) Whirlpool FF NOT cooling fridge - over-Freezing freezer

Nice fridge and comes with a 2 year guarantee. :o My only opinion is that there are more things to go wrong ie: electronic boards, fan motors, heaters, and sensors, the non frost free just have a compressor and a thermostat  anyway that's only my opinion I've only been fixing them for 20...

    Terminal noises from fridge compressor?

The compressor is inside the black dome that you can see. the actual compressor sits on springs inside, and the clunk you hear is when the compressor stops under load, the springs are there to absorb the sudden stopping of the motor. I can only suggest that the springs are becoming worn...

(UK) Whirlpool FF NOT cooling fridge - over-Freezing freezer

The thermostat operates from the fridge temperature, so because the fridge isn't getting cold the thermostat will keep calling for cooling, so the compressor keeps running and the freezer keeps freezing, hence your -35 degrees  Personally I wouldn't repair it

(UK) Whirlpool FF NOT cooling fridge - over-Freezing freezer

Blockage unlikely as the freezer is working. :) It's short of gas, there is enough gas to do the freezer first but not enough for the fridge. Cheers
