Ha so they did, I will give Gladiator a ring tomorrow and double check, they were actually coming out the cheapest amongst the quotes I've been getting so hope all pans out well. It's a difference between £700 odd to £1400 wether they take it into account or not! Squeaky bum time!

    Van Insurance NCB

Do you remeber who insured you Whitespirit? I will add it to my list for tomorrow, going to ring them all and see if they do and will give a quote. On Gladiator it asks for NCB and asks what vehicle that was earnt on, and just says "Previous Vehicle", doesnt say anything about a car...

    Van Insurance NCB

I am in the process of changing the car for a van. I have built up 5 years NCB on the car, but insurers are saying they can't or won't take the car NCB into account when quoting for the van. If I am doing an online van quote and in the box that asks for the NCB doesn't state it has to be...

I did speak to a spark in work as my first question was can I put a plug on a shower and power it that way and he said no it has to be 10mm. So I agreed to run the 10mm from the fuseboard to the shed and he connect it up both ends, but now a light and sockets have come into the equation seems...

I am wanting to run a cable to a shed in the garden which sits about 1m away from the side of the house. I want to run the cable externally preferably clipped into a mortar line about 8-10foot high. If I were to buy 10mm SWA cable, how good is it at bending 90degrees around corners? I...

How to clean soot off Coals Gas Fire

The thermocouple, which forms part of the Oxygen Depletion Sensor, had formed a bit of crud on it, which was causing insulation and was taking it a few attempts to light it. As the pilot light only stays on for a few seconds, it took a few goes to heat up the thermocouple due to the crud...

    Shed under Car Port?

Can you build a shed under a car port? It won't be a regular pop up shed, it will be properly studded out so it can be insulated and tiled inside. The shed will have a purpose for grooming animals. Plans are for water feeds, electricity to be hooked up to it, and waste water to exit the...

Have you checked the pressure in you expansion vessel? You can use one of those £5 argos tyre pressure readers that connects to the schrader valve, might be worth pressing it with your finger first, if water comes out, the diaphragm inside has gone. Should say in the MIs what the pressure...

    Solvent weld

The idea is to just put it on the pipe, that way when you insert the pipe into the fitting, any excess glue will splurge out of the joint. If you put it inside the fitting and push the pipe in, the excess will splurge inside the pipework, which could create something for hairs and bits to...

Do i need check valves for mixer tap ?

I would personally use Isolator -> check valve -> flexi If you use a flexi with a built in isolator, it will be harder to isolate if you need to replace or maintain the check valve. You can have as many compression nuts as you need or want, as long as none of them leak
