What colour gloss goes with magnolia walls?

Originally planning to gloss the skirting boards brilliant white, I don't want them yellow after a few months, so just wondering on some other good colour choices?

Carpet is a cream colour also, was thinking maybe a light grey or something?

Anyone done some "wacky" colours lately that turned out to look ok?

Skirting boards should always be WHITE, gloss/satin the choice is yours.

I’ve done some ‘wacky’ colours and they always, ALWAYS, with no exception, make the whole room look dreadful and because it’s coloured it’s a monster to paint over again when the customer realised how stupid they’ve been.

That's me told
I've got built in wardrobes painted in magnolia eggshell and have painted the skirtings a green eggshell. Carpet is a creamy colour and the walls are a very pale blue.
