    Smart CCTV recommendations.

Personally I would use a Hikvision POC system as this gives the best value for money IMO. I've never seen a wireless Dvr though so as above use powerline adapters. Prices approx; Dvr £90 2TB Hardrive £60 4 Cameras £160 Cable £30 Crimps + BNC's £25

£36 a year = £3 a month. Less than a pound a week to be able to control your security system from anywhere in the world! Gotta be a bargain surely?

    Hikvision security flaws

That’s the problem, every situation is different. You’d probably be better off with the cheapest Hik camera then install external lighting to improve night vision. Agreed. You do see one now and again but a ptz could look daft/overkill in certain situations. There are no clear answers when...

    Hikvision security flaws

You need to decided what you want from the camera. There is never a clear cut answer regarding cctv imo. What is most important, day or night image? What distance of night image required? The best image and night vision are normally the ptz cameras but in my opinion ptz cameras should be used...

    Hikvision security flaws

Hikvision PoC systems are excellent. I think the security issues were related to the network cable from the Dvr/Nvr to the router. I’ve not heard of any issues regarding Hikvision equipment for 12+ months now. Not sure there were ever any serious concerns to be honest and most problems being...

    Pyronix Enforcer questions

    Pyronix Enforcer questions

All my PIR sensors have a blue led on but even when alarm is not set the blue leds are being triggered when passing across the sensors. Is this expected or I’m missing something? This is not correct. The pir leds should not work when the system is unset.

Sounds like the panel has defaulted back to the factory settings. Instead of using your code try using 1234.

    Texecom firmware upgrade

Ok cheers. Had a brief look online and it looks like a little pcb board. Surprised there are no “how to” videos on YouTube. Does this unit come with the latest firmware already installed? Is it possible to use the same unit for future firmware upgrades? Is the unit connected direct to the...
