    Most intruder alarm guides suggest using a 3 amp fuse for the fcu. If using 1.5mm flex will a 13 amp fuse be ok? Why do they always suggest 3 amp?

    Sorry i meant PD6662:2010/BS8243 I think i have found the answer though, Users cannot reset systems after a confirmed alarm as they could under the 2004 regs.

    Under the new intruder alarm regs is the following statement true? "Users cannot restore after a confirmed alarm" Does this mean even a coded reset cannot be performed and that to reset the system after a confirmed alarm would always require an engineer?

    aint that the truth :roll: What if the layout was: fcu then a single socket. maximum load = 26Amps. The only problem i can see is if the circuit was added to later. Would this layout be acceptable?
