    As you say its just advice not mandatory. Give people the facts and let them make a choice. Personally I drink softened water. Our water is 280ppm out of the tap which in some countries would be on a limit of being not fit for human consumption. I'll take the sodium thanks :P

    not advisable. its technically possible but it could end up messy and expensive. Just buy one with a shower feed already fitted job done.

    if you fit a flexicom within 150mm of the floor replacing the DV and a couple of over repairs become impossible without taking the boiler off the wall. So be prepared for quite hefty future repair bills

    edited that slightly for you dan :P op, why not secondary circulation if its a big place and your doing alot of work. More to go wrong on a combi. They are often cheaper cos manf get their money back in spares :P

    if he'd used a hammer and chisel to make the hole he would have done less damage to the brickwork. what a shambles. What other work has he done in your house, might be worth getting it all looked at if this is the bar he's set

    ah shame, thats a bit out my way. could of taken a looksie. Anyway, you only need a decent repair engineer. Although to be honest it may even be worth getting a callout and years cover with Baxi just to get it back to good health.
