Ta all. Anyone got any advice on cleaning the PHE?? Years ago when i was an apprentice on building services..... the plumbing team used to acid flush (i think) the calrifiers. is there something similar to use on a PHE to clean it out????

Thanks Tony. Any info on the filters and where to get them? I am limited on space as the return comes from above the boiler thru the ceiling which is... obviously under the shower up stairs! I might be able to fit one a little further away tho.... off to investigate. There is no mention...

6 months ago the shower kept going hot and cold and this coincided with the burner on my combi cutting in and out. I was rightly advised on this forum that the P.H. exchanger (PHE) was prob blocked. So i took it out and cleaned it out using some proprietary flushing agent and high pressure hose...

Mine just slid up and didnt have any screws?? then there wer two retaining screws on the contol panel which was hinged? No help i am afraid

Sorted..... New PCB control card. £111 + Vat locally which i didnt think was too sad compared with internet prices. Are the pld cards repairable.... might hold on to it as a spare?

Have you worked thru the fault finding chart in the manual. Just had same problem with mine but have not got a pilot..... electronic ignition instead. Is the pump running? Is the fan running? Have you the electrical skills rqd to fault find / test the boiler? Mine was not firing...

Just to add...... its not firing in heating or DHW demand mode. Anyone any ideas?

Had a problem on the boiler with the Domestic hot water switch yesterday...... sorted that out by replacing the broken retaining clip. On restoring the power the boiler would not fire...... Fan is not starting. I am only getting 45volts out of the control card to the fan? This did fluctuate...
