If the rads are painfully hot then turn the boiler control down a little. Measure the temp of the flow pipe if you can and report back. Might be a good idea to balance the radiators if its been out of commission for a while.

What is the current spec etc for securing a gas meter? My mates gas meter is piped straight in with 22mm copper going in and out, no anaconda. The only support the meter has is from the pipe work, from which the meter hangs.. Meter is a R5 type from 1997

Harmful in which way? I can't imagine the breathing in Mapp or Propane gas or the fumes from combustion can in anyway be good. I use MAPP,simply because its warmer quicker, you use less as a result and it costs only a few quid more.

Magnacleans are very good piece of kit, they are pretty easy your fit if your handy. I would want £160 inc fitting and vat.
