    Fitting a new fireplace surround

I'm about to fit a new limestone fireplace surround, the centre part where the hearth is to be placed was already concreted but the hearth is too long and the edges rest on the wooden floorboards. The hearth has sections underneath that make contact with the floor as seen in the second...

Problem Fixing Back to Wall toilet onto floor

Yeah, I've got one of those, so, can the base of the bracket rest on top of the lip of the toilet base? Meaning that the bracket itself can't sit flat on the floor and be close enough to the screw hole for the screw to reach.

I've got a Victoria Plumb, Arc back to wall toilet that I need to fix on to the floor, but I can't work out how to do it in this case. http://www.victoriaplumb.com/Toilets-and-Basins/Toilets/Back-To-Wall-Toilets/Arc-Back-To-Wall-Toilet-including-Soft-Closing-Seat_99.htmll The first two...

Double basin waste into toilet soil pipe plumbing

I'm about to plumb in a double basin to a 110mm plastic soil pipe, using a soil strap boss. 32mm for the basin waste pipes. I've drawn a little picture to explain how I plan to do it. I've been reading about best practices such as connecting the basin waste at 3X pipe diameter...

Toilet waste pipe 90 degree connection at outer wall

I've been out there and enlarged the hole for the access bend as you both suggested, if I were to do it from scratch (knowing what I know now) I would have used a 115mm cutter as the hole was right in a corner and a real bugger to hack and drill. Thanks for the leak test tip as well, I'll be...

Toilet waste pipe 90 degree connection at outer wall

Yes that would work, I just wondered if I was missing something, because of the way that the builders left the job, with a clean 110mm hole cut. If I want to bury the joint I need to hack a 115mm hole to accommodate it. I would have expected them to cut a hole the right size for the job in the...

Toilet waste pipe 90 degree connection at outer wall

My builders and I parted ways before our bathroom refurbishment was complete, so I'm plumbing the toilet waste in myself and got a bit stuck. Where the soil pipe exits the outer wall I need to have a 90 degree horizontal bend, i.e. turning out of the wall directly to the side to run along and...

Shower door fitting into leaning recess

I've had builders in to redo my bathroom, the wall they tiled on one side is not plumb, resulting in the gap at the top for the shower door recess to be 1cm less than the gap at the bottom. They have fitted the shower door and slid the magnetic door seal out from the door end to make up the...
