    Mira are much better showers than Triton.. and Triton are much better than Gainsborough and Gainsborough are much better than Creda IMHO..

    I've fitted a few of these. they should just plug straight in.... from the looks of it your's are incompatable. I'd say take them back and get one that is or just get a refund.

    I think some boilers won't work with reversed polarity?!?! I think they might reference to earth on the PCB

    As above... you are not going to get much for £60-£80 just had a look at a well known sheds website and you can get a Triton for that money, I guess you could also get a Gainsbrough also.. If you can push your budget to £120 you could get a Mira, but don't get a Creda... I've seen better...

    Swap L1 & L3 On your old switch you had a C, L1 & L2.. this is now L1, L2 & L3 respectively on the new switch

    You'll probably have to change your plans... Typically in a house any burried cables @<50mm will require RCD protection.. there are exemptions if you are using earth metalic protection or cables incorporating an earthed metalic sheath (flexishield)... but I gues you are using T&E in at most...

    It's not a NICEIC reg it's a IET reg.. namely BS7671:2008 the reg that you are refering to is about burried cables <50mm without mechanical protection --- they are required to have RCD protection! SO any cable that your electrician worked on that is burried <50mm and isn't mechanically...

    Do you pay a landlord for electric or an electric supplier?? If it's a landlord then you may have blown your submain fuse or main service fuse ---- ring your landlord If it's an electric supplier then you've more than likely blown your main service fuse ---- ring your electricity supplier...

    Is it a touch dimmer... like a Varilight one?? If so then is you earth connected and continuous back to the CU / MET?
