    Lighting control question.

Ok, Im being a bit dense here, if i get a 2 way dimmer, i can obviously wire it to be always on. But if anyone knows of any single module grid dimmers that can cope with 300W then please point me in the appropriate direction!

    Lighting control question.

Thanks breezer, Grid switches look like the way forward for a Tidy solution. I am not familiar with them however, and looking online, all the ones I have come across are push on/off, are there any available that do not switch as well? or could a standard one be modified to stop it switching...

    Gas pipe from meter.

No hes jut highly recommended and very busy. I cant see how hanging a boiler on a wall, digging some trenches and laying some pipe in it so he can connect everything is at all dangerous. I wasn't going to back fill the trenches or even connect the T's... All i was asking was, could i use...

    Gas pipe from meter.

Thanks thats much more helpful, and what i am asking. I know it's not 'the gas board' but thats easier to type than wales and west utilities! :) and probably better understood by the majority. Wales and west utilities pipe is only protected from damage by the 5 meter trench i dug in my garden, i...

    Cracked drain.

Hi, While digging a trench at the front of my property for the gas service to be installed, I discovered a clay pipe (prob 4-5") which i think must be connected to the front drainpipe (the waste & water drains are at the rear of the house) This pipe is encased in concrete, except for the...

Do I need a cavity tray?

Thanks for the Reply masona, I haven't installed it yet, so yet to cut the hole. I just want to make sure I have covered all my bases, and have everything ready. I was thinking of putting it 1 or 2 courses of brick below the window cill, and it has a lip so there would be less brick than...

Hi, Ok, thought I better post an update, I had the DNO out and got a quote of ~£350 to move the service head, as long as I dig a trench to intersect their supply on my property, and at that point make the hole about a meter square. I also have to supply and fit the flush meter box and...
