    Deluks, cheers for the reply, I'm not sure how thick the concrete is, but its a 1951 brick built ex-council house if that might give a clue. Whats the best way of working out the thickness of the floor? preferably without digging a massive hole. Cheers!

    Oops, meter was changed in 2000 not 2007 had had a few beers last night :) Even so they moved in the day after me so have never had the supply disconnected. I think I will go round and tell them its a bit dodgy and if its not sorted they could be without power if the fuse goes, (ive no gas)...
