im guessing this is a bathroom / shower room of sorts? if the plasterboard is there and your wishing to tile onto it, tank it first, you wont have any issues about falling hardi board then

i have a reaction to the grout, i only use powdered, you can either use barrier cream or some of that norwegian hand lotion afterwards, that one works for me. i used to use rubi rubber gloves, come in a good big size, but then realised how gay i looked and prefer moisturising now :lol:

common practice buying extra, and for someone who regulary posts in the tile forum im astonished you even question this not very often it happens, you should smile and use them as you wish, however i wouldnt take them back for a refund, thats just taking the pee

MOST tilers are happy to use slate, there are a few who dont like to, (know idea why, i personally love the stuff, looks gorgeous when done correctly) your local tile stores can recommend someone who is good with the stuff tho, if your unsure tho make sure you see previous work or even talk...

if it is the nasty cheap porc tiles that are not proper porc then its no point cleaning up, however real porc you dont need to seal.

all valid points here, however the job is done, wether it stays up is a coin flip. the op however only needs to clean tiles now. give the cement away a try dude, well worth it

whats the point of this post? its a diy forum, there are many things that i dont agree with when ops ask questions, just give advice and try not to complain. if you cant do anything but have a go forget answering people its not worth it
