I'm looking to carpet a small area which is currently tiled (quarry tiles). Is it a matter of simply putting down underlay then carpet or should I put down some leveling compound first? I'm a complete beginner so any tips as to what i need to do would be appreciated?

I want to clean some decking that suffering from Mildew and general wear and tear. I've been advised diluted bleach is a good solution but then others have said that's rubbish. I've seen some products such as Net-trol. Any views?
