    What switch do l need?

I need a 3 gang with 2 dimmer switches and 1 on/off switch. I want the 2 dimmers to be 2 way and the other just on/off. The picture l have attached reads to me that the 2 dimmers are 1 way and the other is a 2 way, so this would be wrong option for me? If wrong, can anyone tell me which unit...

    Which switch?

I need a 3 gang switch with only one of them being a two way. Is it simply a 3 gang 2 way switch or are they called something else because only 1 switch is a 2 way?

    RUNNING NEW WIRING

If anyone here has a bit of spare time to advice me on the following, l would really appreciate it. The plan is not to scale but l hope my explanation makes sense. I want to take the door way out up to the ceiling. A steel beam sits across the room and sits into the wall right of the doorway. The brick above the doorway isn't supporting anything directly above and just exposes the underneath of the stairs. Can l remove the doorway and brick above just...

Door linings first or after boarding?

I am just starting framing out a new stud wall which will house a set of double doors. Is it preferred to plasterboard first to the edge of the stud work and then fit the door lining or can l fit the lining first? The reason l ask is because l wanted to leave the stud wall open to run cables...

    HOLES IN CEILING

As plasterers, do you generally mind if spotlight holes have been cut into a new ceiling and lights left dangling before you plaster it? Or even just the holes cut if wires are left tucked up inside ready for lights?

    EXTENDING CABLE

Yes will get rid of the other wall light and will eventually install spot lights.

    EXTENDING CABLE

It looks like it goes down or possibly across to the other light which is operated by a switch even further along. I think it is on a socket circuit. I popped a plug in the kitchen once and it shorted everything in the conservatory. It's ground floor in a conservatory which backs onto the...

    EXTENDING CABLE

There's another light the same further along the wall. The ceiling has no lights in it currently. It will only have the new ones l want to put in.

    EXTENDING CABLE

So a normal back box, wires to a terminal block left inside, and a blanking cover?

    EXTENDING CABLE

It looks as though the existing wire does not come from above.

    EXTENDING CABLE

Is it completely wrong to join to a connector block and loose it in the wall?

    EXTENDING CABLE

Yes, l want to do away with the light as in the picture and extend the wire up the wall and connect to a run of 4 spotlights. Is quite a high ceiling and the current light fitting is about 800mm below the ceiling.
