Well, the job is only 10 minutes away from me and I'm doing it for people I know, although that isn't making me charge less because of that reason. Why should I. So it's only a private job, but I will probably get more work from it, so I didn't want to put them off by charging too much.

Ok, I'm obviously well out of range then. I was basing it on about £90 a day, but I think I'll re-evaluate. You can tell I don't do a lot of private work, I just work for a firm that pays 'us' crap money. More fool me I guess! Thanks for your advice

I would disagree with the small paint brush but each to their own. A larger brush is easier to control. If you aren't a confident painter then bring the corners in with a small brush, but using a 2" or 3" brush will give you better control and a neater line as long as you have a steady hand. For...

I would scrap the B&Q shortpile roller for a start and get yourself a medium pile sleeve instead as this will hold a lot more paint and are great for smooth and semi smooth surfaces which I'm assuming your walls are. Up to you, but try dulux or crown stores as you'll pick up a better quality...
