Low self-discharge NiMH batteries in Cordless Drills?

I had been about to buy Li-Ion Ryobi but the number of negative posts about Li-ion, especially with the far higher price, have put me off.

Low self-discharge NiMH batteries in Cordless Drills?

There seem to now be plenty of Low self-discharge NiMH batteries about in AA and AAA sizes. Is this technology not being used in Cordless Drills? Is it a suitable technology for such an application? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low_self-discharge_NiMH_battery

hooray ryobi one+ lithium here at last

The ones on screwfix are listed as 2.0Ah, though it doesn't seem to give a battery number. Whenever I've seen mention of them for sale from the US they have been 2.4Ah but then they are listed as a battery number P104...

    Ryobi Battery question

I wonder if we will get the new drills and 2.4 Ah batteries coming through later, or maybe a better bet is just going with the HITACHI DV18DL. Would this be a better drill as well as having more powerful batteries, for only £30 more. http://www.dm-tools.co.uk/product.php/section/4729/sn/HITDV18DL

    Ryobi Battery question

    Ryobi Battery question

There are a few on uk ebay atm, but are all from the US, I'm a bit dubious about importing, or indeed buying it off ebay full stop. If those prices are anything to go by it looks like there could be a substantial price hike for the lithium version...

    Ryobi Battery question

Any sightings of the 2.4 Ah lithium stuff in the UK yet? I've just had a google but can't seem to find anything. I've got my eye on the 18v Ryobi One + 2 Piece Kit Combi Drill & Angle Drill kit at around £138 but if the lithium version isn't much more it could be worth a look over the...

    Decent Drill bits

I purchased the Irwin cordless for masonry but after less than two months seem to have managed to have chipped/ruined the 7mm one (the one used 90% of the time). Should I not have been using it on hammer action or have I just been pushing it too hard?

    Decent Drill bits

Found these nice and cheap on Ebay. The only thing is it says designed for cordless (low rpm) does that mean you shouldn't use them in a normal mains drill?

    Decent Drill bits

Thanks, it looks like Cobalt ones aren't really suitable for me then as I'm looking for ones solely for use in a hand drill. Anyone got any thoughts on the two sets I linked to? There are these Irwin ones here...

    Decent Drill bits

Thanks for the help guys The Dorma ones look a bit expensive tbh. I'd looked at that cobalt set I linked to as I thought colbalt was supposed to be better than Titanium or normal drills. There are these Irwin ones here...

    fed up with cleaning rollers?

Hmm I bought the "Hand powered paint brush and paint roller cleaner" but all my rollers are slightly too narrow to fit over it, are the tube inside commercial roller sleeves slightly wider than the 9" standard rollers you get in places like B&Q?

    fed up with cleaning rollers?

Thanks, I have seen some similar ones which attach to drills, I take it the hand ones spin fast enough to make the drill ones not worthwhile?
