    Any white goods tech will tell you that he would rather work on a washing machine anytime rather than a tumble dryer. Drum belts are rarely easy to fit and some machines require a special manufacturers too l to fit.

    yes its the filter to right of the machine released by the the blue catch and the sponge filter is enapsulated in a round plastic housing. The model is a DC07 I have just disassembled it and cleaned it again and will refit when dried and post you with the results.

    I assume there are no, lights on the machine if so possibilities are on/off switch open circuit or more probable pcb (printed circuit board) blown. There is usually areason for this either motor or door interlock have flashed over and blown pcb.
