    Hi Rocky and Johnw2 I checked the the switch and plug in all directions ,it looked OK If I check the resistance on the capacitor as suggested by John W2 I presume this would be done live,If the machine trips on start up this would be difficult. Cheers Ian

    The trick with oil finish is to keep applying the coats,the first few coats still leave the wood and the finish quite vulnerable especially round the sink,about 6 thin coats will start to you somewhere, snot off with wire wool between coats. Cheers Ian
