    I don't know if it'll help much but I found a Dulux (I think) Mellow Mocha which has a nice sheen to it and would match the other colours in the room (if you did it in panels, as suggested above)

    Sorry if I'm a bit late getting to this -only just joined in the forum - but we're also doing a wet room and used hardibacker for the walls where necessary. It's fab stuff, not expensive (we got some from Topp's Tiles in the end) and does the trick superbly! Hope that helps... :?
