Trada span tables, meaning of unlimited access.

As above. Table 7.6 for spans for joists on flat roofs states unlimited access. Would this be for instance suitable for a roof terrace providing the dead loads were within the tables. If not what is ment by this. The table before states for maintenance only.

    Screed drying times ?

I was recently on a sports hall job and after a month of drying the screed was still too damp to lay the flooring. In the end they had to lay a liquid dpm before laying the vinyl.

    What to use for shuttering.

It appears you have removed soil since the foundation was poured. Simply add some soil against the wall.

Channeling concrete slab in new build house

Pay the foreman a small incentive to put the cables in for you. Unless it has already been completed. There may be plastic pipes in the screed but most likely from above. I'm not sure they put rebar in most floor screeds I've seen.

supporting block and beam floor with existing wall.

It's all been designed by me apart from the piling. After all we are on a diy forum. I've done my own drawings and building regs all passed OK. I'm well aware a professional shouldnt of made this mistake but there are posts online about floors being bouncy so it obviously does happen. I,ve got...

supporting block and beam floor with existing wall.

Supreme beams are 34kg per meter. 5.1m span. They were designed to be laid in double configuration with a block 440mm between each pair. It's well within on there load tables but my main concern now is bounce. The span if i lay into the existing house wall is 3.5m. There is already an opening...

supporting block and beam floor with existing wall.

A couple of dollys and man power. The beams were only 180kg 4 people to push them into place on dollys then the final lift 1 end at a time. The option of a centre wall has now passed as the ground beam is being poured this morning. Shall I just crack on and support from the original house wall?

supporting block and beam floor with existing wall.

I require your thoughts please. I am just having piled foundations in a U shape to the rear of my house to add an additional room. The room is 5.1m wide and 3.5m deep. Due to the garden being on top of an approx 4m high embankment, and the extension getting nearer to it than the original house...

Epilepsy advice / harnesses / ladders

I can't see this working. You cannot just attach the harnees to the ladders as if you did fall the shock load may just break the ladder depending where you are attached. I'm not sure how good they are but I have seen attachments you put on a hover, a long pole with a curved part at the top...

Would you insulate near a wire?

You need to apply factors to the cable rating depending how much is buried insulation. Over 500mm usual means uping the cable to the next size up. Most people don't seem to bother though including electricians. Presuming that is just the switch wires for 2 rooms the current is not going to be...

I'd rather let them pour the concrete ASAP instead of making them keep it open for weeks.

Venting block and beam and wood floor together?

I will have air flow front to back but I was worried any moisture which comes out he ground on the block and beam part may effect the joists on the suspended wooden part. Although the current house is suspended and vented front to back, there is a concrete Base about 400mm below the joists so it...
