roof lantern triple glazing worth it?

theres normally a gap in the ridge that air can pass through, id didnt mean draughts as such. Most roofs have parts that are not thermally broken and not much seperating the inside and outside eg bottom of the sheets

roof lantern triple glazing worth it?

i manufacture roofs and we do a roof that can accomodate the 36mm glass units, we have done quite a few. The gains from triple glazing may be lost with the roofs draughts etc. id say get the best dg 24mm glass for the difference in price compared to money saved along time

Measuring up and provision of cills

definately agree here, a decent fitter probably wouldn't entertain the job if he's not measured it. Is the guy who says he'll do it any good or just short of work.

    Rules about Glazed windows

ive never dealt with the second option but i know martindales are very good, but prices dont always reflect which option is better/worse. the second option may be better, also being a new customer you wouldnt get the same discount as the likes of me etc.

    Paying a professional.

day rate isnt always the cheaper option, get a price for the job from a tradesman, he may do it in 3 days for less than 5 days pay @ day rate where the guy who does 5 days at day rate might not finish it in 5 days

Fascia 75mm - where to find?

get 100mm flat board, the new fascia doesnt need the lip as it doesnt 'stick out'
