When did undercloaking strips stop containing asbestos?

I posted a few weeks back about undercloak strips and asbestos. My house was built in 1995 or 1996 and I do suspect they could be ACM, however I did contact a surveyor and they said that they mostly stopped using Asbestos cement for undercloak by then. I guess the only real way is to get it...

    Power to the People

When David cameron resigned, I thought that a Brexiteer PM would have taken over but maybe that was part of the plan to have a remainer to keep stalling it

Interesting BBC story about stonemason’s silicosis

Not surprising really. When I was getting my drive block paved, they were cutting the old paving slabs up with a concrete cutter and no wetting the area down or wearing a mask/respirator.

Brexit shambles, Tory government tries to blame anyone else... anyone!

It's ironic really the conservatives marketed them selves as strong and stable, but the Brexit shambles has shown that they are weak and wobbly!

    Power to the People

I would say it's more likely that we will crash out of the EU very soon, without a deal. Parliament keeps rejecting all Brexit options.

    Chaotic Brexit Planning

I think Theresa and parliament are hell bent on dragging this out for many more months ahead. Not that we have much trust in politicians anyway, but if they don't deliver Brexit, then I think come next general election they will be punished in the polls.

Best Car For Newly Qualified Driver

    Chaotic Brexit Planning

I think there is more chance of the EU kicking us out with no deal, than Theresa May getting her act together and getting us out.

    Asbestos ?

Thats very true, and I did make sure it was safe before any work was carried out. However, the problem is that I had to pay to get it done, when the company should have paid for the sample to be taken considering it was their requirement. I live in a 95 build house, and it's not likely that...

    Possible Asbestos undercloak 1995 build

I know its low risk, but I do find it alarming if asbestos was used on a relatively new build property. I know Asbestos cement was not finally banned until 1999. However, the dangers were well known then and even well before that, and there was substitute materials available.

    Asbestos ?

When I was getting fitted wardrobes installed, the company insisted that an asbestos test was carried out on the Artex, however the company should have really paid for it considering it was their requirements in my opinion. Fortunately there wasn't any asbestos in the Artex, and I had to pay £70...

    Possible Asbestos undercloak 1995 build

Is it worth getting it tested, how likely is it that it will contain asbestos, or would there be other substitutes used ?
