I held it with two hands whilst my partner tried to turn the ellen key anti-clockwise. The hex screw doesn't open.

Is it right that I need to turn the hex screw clockwise to open it. The bugger isn’t shifting! How do I stop the d26410 disc from turning. The button on the side only changes the range of the sander but it doesnt lock the disc to enable me to open the screw.

Can the Mirka pad saver be used instead of a DeWalt backing pad? Are the two compatible? They look different to my untrained eye.

Can anyone recommend a good replacement backing pad for DeWalt D26410 orbital sander? Is the original DeWalt pad worth the £30 price tag or is there a good third-party alternative that you'd recommend?

I got the DEWALT DW088CG-XJ green laser level. How do you set it at the right level? I don't have a magnetic doorframe or similar in the room I want to use it. I guess I could get a tripod which is convenient but a tad expensive. Any other clever solutions?
