    Fixing a cut aerial cable

My areal cable outside the house has been cut so I need to repair it. Given that it is exposed to the elements, should I repair it with a couple of F-plug connectors joined with an F-to-F adaptor? Or should I do it another way to make it waterproof?

Is the Kreg KHI Concealed Hinge Jig (or equivalent) good for inset hinges? (1)

Are these the screws you mean? These screws aren't cheap. Is that what the pros buy if they need to use this hinge?

Is the Kreg KHI Concealed Hinge Jig (or equivalent) good for inset hinges? (1)

My cabinet looks like diagramme A. I plan to use the Blum 71B3750 or the 75T1750 which i think is the sprung version of the same hinge (i think).

Is the Kreg KHI Concealed Hinge Jig (or equivalent) good for inset hinges? (1)

When I say that the screw holes are off, I am not talking about it being off-centre. I mean that the hinge ends up not square if the screw holes drilled with the jig are used.

Is the Kreg KHI Concealed Hinge Jig (or equivalent) good for inset hinges? (1)

I'll probably use a drill bit for the reasons you mention. I'm only drilling holes for a few doors.

Is the Kreg KHI Concealed Hinge Jig (or equivalent) good for inset hinges? (1)

Thanks, and yes I'll wait for JobAndKnock's advice. I can practice on a test piece or to have the depth set, I can potentially use a router bit rather than a drill bit possibly?

Is the Kreg KHI Concealed Hinge Jig (or equivalent) good for inset hinges? (1)

I'm not that experienced and I don't want to drill too deep which apparently is easy to do. So the depth stop is the main rason for getting the jig. It is a bit strange that the screw holes for the hinge are off. Maybe squaring rhe hinge, marking and using a self-centering drill bit is the wat...

    Floorboard brads with sharp ends

They're called both floorboard brads or brad nails (in most builder marchants in London) or cut nails, although the latter look a bit different when I search for them online. It maybe a regional variation, who knows. I can drive them in ok, but my partner said she prefers the pointy ones which i...
