    Skimming, amateur needs guidance

lots of good onfo there, if its something you enjoy and plan to do again id invest in a marshall trowel permashape £40-ish but youll be amazed how much better the finish will be especially if a beginner. Youll learn to love your trowel and guard it like a' hawk' clean it after every job so its...

bathroom flooring - removing old tiles and fitting new

id just self level the floor if its concrete, prime 1st though. you can get SLC what covers vinyl tiles so no need to remove. Tiling can be done in as little as 24-48hrs later plus youll have a nice level floor to tile with. Drilling into tiles is easy especially if ceramic, porcelain are...

Hollow sound to newly (professionally) plastered walls

the colour darkens 1st then starts to randomly patch light colours, your probably at this stage already. once its all light pinky coloured then you know. But the bonded areas will take a few days more. dont be tempted to turn the radiator on in the room to dry quicker, just let it dry naturally.

Hollow sound to newly (professionally) plastered walls

he can use bonding then skim it same day you know. As he bonds his areas then while waiting skims the rest and then skim those areas at the end of the day. it will remain wet for a lot longer than 2 days. as for the hollow sound id asses it once its all completely dried out then judge the work.

Radiator not filling after refitting during decorating.

yes check the pressure on the dial of your boiler, the pressures are in bar and should be between 1-1.5bar but check your manual if in doubt, there should be a filling loop as mentioned before and you can let the pressure rise again with this.

    Ready mixed plaster! Any good..?

like said patching maybe at a push (but not me) id just tell them the only way you will do it is if you can skim properly. guarantee if you attempt to skim with this it will look crap, then youll be known as a crap plasterer! customers just see the word plaster on the bag and expect it to...

    Limestone bathroom tiles

You should be happy about that as its saved you a couple of thousand pounds already! As rich says did you get...
