This is the patio door at around 12 pm, the bay window has similar amount of moisture on it. Does this seem excessive amount of moisture for the current weather and can explain plaster not drying out?

And the plot twists again. The drain doesn't go into the manhole at all. There is no branch coming into the manhole from that direction. So it would seem that it's a soakaway. Or just a gully top with no pipe attached to it.

Could it just be that the drain is blocked and not actually cracked / damaged?

I need to check the air brick above the drain but I have a feeling it probably runs into duct to the front lounge.

Hi Ken, Good spot on the air brick above the drain. I'll investigate that tomorrow. There is another air brick on the right to where the picture ends. The air brick runs to a clay pipe inside the tiled floor and ends where the wooden floor starts. Both air bricks look the same.

I have lifted the boards and there is signs of moisture on the ground but no leak. The source seems to be the far right corner. And there is a drain on the other side.

Just lifted the carpet and the floor seems damp. The rear lounge is quary tiles and the front wooden. Now would this be a leak in the floor or just caused by covering a floor that shouldn't be covered.

No extension. This is the original through lounge. The pier is between front lounge and rear part of the lounge. No soil pipe in the pier either. This is a party wall from the original house and neighbours house is on the other side. If it is rising damp, what would we need to do to...

The other side is the neighbours property, so probably have to ask them. As far as i am aware it is wooden floor. Also need to chase the water supply, it is metered so i guess I could try to check the units when not in use.
