Depending on the grade of slate, if you went to a roof supplier, spanish 20 x 10 are around £1.70 each and clay ridge are £6.60 each plus the dreaded, but these are new so work a deal out from there. Cheers Dave

I know wessex tiles go down to 15* marley make them i think but only in brown or grey, also there more expencive,£1.20 each i think. Good luck Dave

With out getting in to a slagging match tudor i never said they were useless, i said Personally i never use slate and half in a valley!, i agree on the verge the cut shouldnt be less than 6" and thats why i use them there. I was pointing out the fact that they didnt have slate and a half years...

Personally i never use slate and half in the valleys because somewhere along the line, once you start using them there will be a bond on bond point!(One slate in line with the slate above) slate and half should only be used on the verge so you dont have a slither of slate there. Think of it...

It certainly can help by increasing the ventilation in your roof, but it could be that they have covered any vents that you had in your soffit when fitting the loft insulation, if they ran the insulation right in the lower part of your roof that could be it, just pull it back abit and see if...
