    it's a gainsborough :x I refuse to work with them - have wired 6 and 5 have been faulty. it may be that the wall is a micron out or so :D - it the front doesn't line up with the back it may cause the water to stop. Some gainsboroughs are manual, not electric water valve.

    if you change the unit don't go for a Gainsborough (I have wired 6 in past 3 years and 5 have deveolped a fault either straight away or within a few days). please note this is my opinion, I really don't rate them at all. :(

    Electric shower water not stopping

    it's not a newer type of Gainsborough shower. Have had problems with these when wall is not exactly straight etc. Don't rate Gainsborough showers - crap in my opinion.

    TN-S installation not earthed!

    had the same issue with Scottish Power- went in to the houses either side (private - never local authority) and found exactly the same clamps. If you get on with your neighbours then have a look.
