    If it is switched by a time clock then you can read the current time (or the time it is showing to be more precise) If it is a teleswitch then you can usualy tell by reading the code (on a label) or calling the metering provider and asking.

    You could get a a 360 recessed pir which may look better. I had it delvered this week. One will go in the kitchen and one in the bathroom They will be wired in paralell with the normal switches to allow premanant on (when having a bath etc)

    In Scotland there is a requirement for 60 litres / sec airflow (with some exceptions) There is no need for it to come on with the light. I generally put them on a seperate switch.

    You should have an earth at every lighting point. Whether the earth connects to the light or stays in a choc box is a side issue. All items require an earth at the outlet. The cable requires earth continuity also [/img]
