    ALPHA COMBI BOILER

    Have wired up a few Alpha boilers. I find them really good and the instructions easy to follow. I would suggest you check the instructions for wiring as some boilers require volt free or low voltage switching. A wrong connection could mean the end of the pcb in the boiler. cheers

    Don't buy a Gainsborough. I now knock back jobs where there is a new Gainsborough shower involved. Prior to this I wired 5 Gainsborough showers and 4 were faulty. In my opinion they are a pile of tat. Sorry to cheer you up, but it needed to be said.

    as a rule of thumb i charge £25-£30 per item plus £450 for additionals. A washing machine counts as 2 items (1 socket & 1 switch) The add on price varies, but the item price is around the mark given.

    have had this before with a mem 2000 rcd. turned out to be a supply fault. do your lights flicker more than they used to? is your supply overhead? the voltage dropped and the rcd tripped.

    New oven trips breakers

    could be something simple like n+e reverse if you get someone in have them check the connections on the oven (make sure the live, neutral and earth are in the correct places) the plug top at the end of the oven flex may be wired wrong.
