no point getting the ladders out for a price, hell be able to roughly price the frames then send a surveyor or fitter if he gets the job. the pebble dash will get damaged when they are fitted, but they should put right

^ i agree, if the customer doesnt like you or trust you youve failed already,even before they see the price, price isnt the only issue. getting through the door of someones house who is wanting the job in the first place is a task. depends on what youre business is but you can, advertise...

i feel sorry for tradesmen who have to work for certain types of people, if a customer asks how long a job should take it doesnt mean they should be held to it. i can fit a conservatory in a day with my partner but we wouldnt do it on day rate, you get what you pay for most of the time

ive not kept up with this thread but some customers when getting quotes may not sign up with the guy who says you need extra work, over the guy whos says itll be reet (and is considerably cheaper)

Martindales trade frames in Bolton, or sterling upvc in Warrington, they both do them, martindales are better quality though, even tho it's the same profile, bit dearer too

with leadwork id suggest getting a price off a tradesman first, they will get the lead cheaper for a start plus they will be confident on ladders
