company website advice

i work at a company that is slightly behind times regarding IT, ive been saying for years that we should get an online presence. are free websites any good? and if so which ones? and what else should i look into. Im trying help as we are a bit quiet, but i want it to work so that i look right all along lol

PornHub, YouPorn do very well these days, what sort of stuff are you peddling?
 
not sure if the search for a 12" black fascia would be the same product as what we have to offer? maybe the 6" white would get feedback?
 
Pretty much everyone now will look up a business on the web, if nothing is found it rings alarm bells for some people . As a rule of thumb if you hsve a proper business you will have some kind of web presence.

Even just a 2 page site will do and they don't cost much really.

you could buy a domain name and hosting for less than £20 per year and use a free word press or weebly diy web building tool to design the site yourself and see how it goes. there's plenty of good videos on youtube to get an idea of what's involved.
